The Success Blog is about finding out what success means to you and how you can find and keep the success you are looking for. This blog does not define success as making a certain salary or by being CEO of a large corporation, but by what your definition of success is for your life. You must believe in and have confidence in yourself and not base your definition of success on what others think.
For me success is defined as peace of mind, which is the direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your very best everyday to become the best God has called you to be. If you are constantly trying to live up to others people’s definitions of success you will find yourself losing your own identity and will not be completely satisfied.
In your road to success it is important to know how to spend your energy. It is better to spend your energy on how to become successful and not on what it takes to only look successful. Success is not about luck or receiving all the breaks. Success takes planning and vision and is about mastering the basic techniques to attain the goal you have set for yourself. It is easy to blame your lack of success on circumstances and to make excuses; you must dig deep and find success despite your circumstances. I am convinced you can take a successful person, put them in any circumstance and they will again succeed.
In order to achieve success you must first define what success means to you. If you do not have a clear mental picture of what success is you will find yourself getting lost time and time again. You can be successful if you understand what success is and have a systematic plan on how to get there. Develop a vision of what you want and hold on to it until you achieve it. You must see yourself achieving your goal in your mind on a daily basis and when times get tough rely on your vision to carry you through. I will leave you with a verse from my favorite book of the Bible. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people will perish.”
